No Greater Love

I’m going through old journals and found this little story written ten years ago. I was at Barnes & Noble with my grandson, Elvis. He was five years old.

Elvis: Can I buy this book, Grandma?
Me: Do you have any money?
Elvis: Yes! I have money.
Me: It costs $7.00!
Elvis: I have $7.00!
Me: You do?
Elvis: Yeah! (Pulling seven pennies out of his pocket.)
Me: It’ll do!
